New works (well, from last Spring)

Use Me for Kindling When it All Goes to Pot features the stories of my grandfather, Jesse Eugene Hill. He passed this past January and I spent the months before his death with him, listening to his tales for the last time. I know I didn't capture them in the book the way he told them, but it was one last homage to him. I printed 20 copies but for now am only going to bind 6, for my grandmother, mother, aunt, and uncles. The handmade text paper is made from his cotton shirts. The pamphlets are sewn into an accordion structure. The accordion paper is also handmade cotton paper and has been pulp painted. The cotton is not a direct reference to my grandfather but more of an homage to our family's roots in Alabama.
this is a print from a photopolymer plate. It's a line drawing of my grandparents from a photograph.
See Rock City. He was always taking us to NC and stopping at tourist sites.
"Watch for Falling Rock"- not a story original to my Paw-Paw. I used commercial blocks from the 1950s-60s for some of the images, for the sake of nostalgia, really, and woodblock numbers.

1/2 leather book, sewn on cords, cords sewn in boards.

Website

St. Seraphim Press has a real website! There may still be a few glitches to work out, but it's my first website built from scratch.
