a satisfying moment.

As some of you are aware, I've been designing and printing a letterpress limited edition (50) of Umbrella Tree's "The Church and the Hospital." The book is printed and several are bound! I'm going to scan and post nicer photos of the inside soon. The cover boards are covered wit 1/4 Iris book cloth and handmade paper (cotton and kozo) that I marbled and then pasted over with acrylics and methyl cellulose. I printed the book using polipholis typeface composed digitally and made into a photopolymer plate that I letterpress printed, on Frankfurt and handmade paper.

First: stack of books drying.

The front of the book: the church
the back of the book in the car at golden hour (soooo professional of me): the hospital.

end of the semester insanity: works in progress, II.

less than two weeks left now, and I'm nearly done! only 8 pressruns left on my book for UT, just have to cover the two books I added leather to today and case all 4 books in.

Photos of a couple of the books, thus far. They look mighty impressive, but there are so many flaws I'm afraid of the grade I'll receive. We'll see. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
